A Sweet Sydney Award for Gold Coast Preserves

An award for preserves doesn’t get much better than the Fine Food Australia Champion with Bunny Chow Down taking the title for 2018. The label’s all-natural handmade Rosella Apple Chilli Jam was awarded overall Champion and Gold Place at the show in Sydney last Friday.



This most recent award comes after a slew of similar accolades for the South African inspired product, winning places at the Toowoomba Show in April and Brisbane’s Ekka in August this year. Bunny Chow Down’s creator Scott MacArthur says the awards cement his belief in the products. ‘I started this journey with a shoestring budget and self-belief in the brand. I feel the awards prove my harshest critics wrong and support my confidence in the brand,’ he said.

The label’s other handmade products took home Silver for Vegetable Mustard Pickle, and Bronze for Spicy BBQ Sauce, Beetroot Apple Chutney, Turmeric Banana Coconut Chutney and the Red Chilli Jam.

‘It feels damn good to see these chutneys recognised over more-well established retail brands.’ he said. Scott is looking to trial new flavours and stocking the chutneys outside of Queensland.st Preserves
